Newsfeed imports?

I know ya'll are working on the newsfeeds, but this is a cool idea i have seen on socialgo and also grou.ps, an rss newsfeed import where you can add a google search term and up pops random things about said term in the feed.

Also if you could customize it so the newsfeed also imports things to and from twitter also it may help over all performance of the newsfeeds as well.

Blogs: You can also import feeds from blogs, similar to the articles xml file from wordpress (which isn't working for me btw).

I could be wrong about this. Autopost isn't available for socibd atm.

Not autopost, but what I mean is that you want to import some news to the blog feature or the newsfeed feature, kinda like what ning did with factor facebook page feed or twitter feed, the same with socialgo they have a blog magazine feature and you can import google terms like say #weatherus or #politics and up will post everything about current weather in the us or politics if its on google's network.

Or post rss feeds to blogs feature, like you can pull up to 15 feeds or so to have a super blog on grou.ps network. Oxwall (eh) also has a plugin to import outside feeds to blogs, and the rss page as well.

@AnaMassien That actually is a cool idea. I was thinking autopost RSS feeds would probably get the most exposure as for as specific categories or information is concerned. They do wonders on news sites.

Yeah, social go and grou.ps has an auto post to blogs and its newsfeed/blogs, where you can add so many rss feeds and they will constantly update when news is added. That way you can pull like content to the site, and you seem very knowledgeable about your subject topics, or you seem to have a knack to pull which is right for your site.

@AnaMassien Well I'm not sure where Tina and company are hiding currently. As it's been a week without news, sign or update from them as far as features or general platform standing is concerned. No new members either.

@ElsharaSilverheart I am sure things will pick up in time. I know Tina was on to help me around the first of last week and I am sure their somewhere, other life concerns? lol
